Karen Harris

Karen Harris is the Managing Director of Bain & Company’s Macro Trends Group, out of the New York office. The Bain Macro Trends Group (MTG) is the capability group for developing Bain’s insights about global macroeconomics, macro social trends and geopolitics, and industry-led innovations as they impact the results of Bain’s clients. Karen works extensively with Bain teams and Bain clients to generate innovative strategies to adapt to and capitalize on macro trends. She also serves as a lead author of the firm’s annual series of macro trends analyses.

Karen has served institutional investors and private equity clients as well as clients in the financial services industry, particularly in banking and insurance. Harris is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the National Committee on U.S. – China Relations. Harris received bachelors degrees in economics and international relations of Stanford and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
